Airship Audio is Back After the Break

This is Airship Audio broadcasting from the HMS Rhapsody for the first time in the New Year. We are coming at you with an update, and an introduction to the crew.

It’s been 3 months now since we last posted. We apologize for our lack of appearance while we went through the university exam period followed by the Christmas break. We are back now however, and kicking in the door of 2012 in a very civilized Victorian way. People interested in writing scripts have contacted us but we are still waiting for their submissions. We hope there are writers out there taking a shot at being in our first season.

Speaking about season 1, submissions close on March 15 at which time we finalize our selection and start into production. You still have time plenty of time to submit a script.

We have access to an extensive list of sound libraries, a process developed for recording, and a sound technician ready to put it all together. Once we finalize our season we will begin auditions for performers. Performer roles are open to anyone, living anywhere. All you must have to audition is a recording program (Windows Media Player, Audacity, Sound recorder, Etc...) which can be found both for purchase and for free online, as well as a microphone that is either built into your computer, or can be hooked up to your computer. Our audition process will consist of posting a set of lines for each character. Anyone may audition for specific roles, or all of them. All you must do is record yourself reading the lines, and submit them to the email we provide at the time. More information and rules for submitting auditions will be provided when we get closer.

Airship Audio has been growing in size over our short break. We have officially found a Director, an Artistic Advisor, and now a Web Master to manage our social media that we plan on setting up. We feel that with our growing size, it is time to introduce our followers to the crew of the HMS Rhapsody.

Production Crew:

Production Manager & Technical Director: Ian

-Ian is a Theater Production major at University. He has a background both in performance, and production where he has stage managed shows, constructed sets, and performed both lead and supporting roles in plays including Marat/Sade, Midsummer Night’s Dream, Barnum, and local dance shows.

Director: Jocelyn

- Jocelyn is currently part of the working class. She has experience in theatre and musical theatre. She has also been an assistant stage managaer for a musical theatre production and has directed and designed a show. Shows she has performed in include, 'Marat/Sade',' Barnum', 'Alice and Wonderland' and 'East of the Sun and West of the Moon'. Frankly speaking, she is a total theatre geek. Scratch that: total geek, theatre or otherwise!

Sound Operator: Nia

-Nia is a current Bachelor of Music in Percussion at University where she performs in the wind ensemble and percussion ensemble. She has experience, editing video for You Tube, and producing music, both live and using programs such as Digital Performer. She has performed in shows for Community Theater including The Three Musketeers, Robyn Hood, and various examples of Shakespeare. On top of this she is in a Greek dance group.

Captain of the Art Department: Sierra

-Sierra is a Theatre Production major at University. She has a background in visual arts and produces sketches, drawings, designs, and photos on a regular basis. She is an avid cosplayer and competes annually in Masquerades at conventions. She produces her costumes from scratch and plans on turning this skill into her future career as a costume designer. To top off these skills, she can make a mean cheesecake.

Web Master: Dallis

-Dallis is studying Digital Media in University, is a Nerdfighter, a Potterhead, and a proud Hufflepuff. Having an experience with computers, and being better then the rest of the crew at handling the internet, she was a much needed addition to our team. Dallis is a lover of both theater and books, with her main listening interests being soundtracks to musicals and indie folk.

One last bit of exciting news, is that soon Airship Audio will have a logo that we will be sporting all over the Internet, showing it off on forums, and other social media.

That's all for now folks

Yours truly

Airship Audio
