Airship Audio is looking for writers

Broadcasting to you from the HMS Rhapsody, This is Airship Audio with information on future programming. So keep your adjuster knobs locked, and your oscillating sound producers turned up, because you won’t want to miss this.

As you may well know, Airship Audio will be producing Audio Dramas over the summer of 2012, and if all goes well we plan on continuing after the summer is over.

We are interested in finding authors willing to write short stories (anywhere from 5 to 30 minutes) that can be converted to audio scripts. These stories can either be converted by the author into a script or they can be converted by us Note: If the conversion is done by us, it will be sent back to the author for verification that the script is acceptable.

Rules on setting and technology for the authors will be posted once the producers have had time to sit down and finalize the document (Note these will not be too restricting, just wanting to prevent certain aspects of some steampunk fiction. ex: must be set in the Victorian era, no time travel, and no ray guns)

ALL PLAYS WILL BE READ, however not all plays can be produced. The plays will be assessed by the production team and the best will be selected for our first run.

Final draft of rules will be posted within the next few days so start thinking about your ideas!

Yours truly,

The producers of Airship Audio

  3. Sounds interesting. I'd have to know more about the setting/technology before making a complete commitment, but I'd definitely be interested in writing.
